Back home and hitting the internets. People are up and about!

Small Beer Press posts some possible logos, for your consideration. (via Gwenda)

The Fucktard-Free T-Shirt shop closes on December 31st. Get your Tod Goldberg fanboy/girl attire before it’s too late!

Damn, I was too late for the free audiobook download of John Hodgman’s The Areas of My Expertise. That’s John Kellogg Hodgman — long lost cousin, maybe?

John Fox (as far as I know, not John Kellogg Fox) thinks the NYTBR was nastily late in running its recent review of Dave Eggers’ What is the What, which had been out for 2 months. Au contraire, I say! The review (quite wonderful, from Francine Prose) was perfectly timed to set the book up for many last-minute xmas gift purchases. Suspicious, perhaps, but in a different way: I bet it gave sales a nice little bump.

If you had a snow-free xmas like me, you can get a vicariously chilly thrill from artist Lita Albequerque’s Stellar Axis, a site-specific performance artpiece in Antartica. (via the ever-brilliant Chris Spurgeon).
