Taos was home to D.H. Lawrence for awhile, plus a whole host of other literati past and present. It's a great place to hang for a weekend - low-key and funky, loaded with artists of all stripes, home to the oldest working Pueblo in the country, flat out gorgeous natural surroundings, free music every night, great restaurants. It's very different than Santa Fe, which is why I live here and not there. Come visit us! Are you going to make it up to Taos? Taos was home to D.H.
